Why does it matter and why do you care, exactly..?
But, um, no. I’m not.

When I look into your eyes
It’s like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
There’s so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you’ve come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?
Tell me about it, we need to do something and catch up, I feel like I missed a lot while I’ve been teaching.
((<3))
I don’t think you missed a ton, honestly, but, I’ve been laying low lately anyways, so I can’t judge haha.
I’M GOING TO TRY RAE. -laughs- I miss hanging out with you, entertain me? I haven’t gotten to enjoy the snow yet. ((OLIVIA. HI.))
I miss you too! It’s been far too long since we’ve hung out and that’s not cool, like, at all.
((HI CHRIS!! <3))
Ooooh, I’m sorry. That’s horrible. I’m usually in charge of winged horseback riding, but thankfully the snow kinda halted that for a bit.
JUST SAY NO HAZEL, JUST SAY NO. haha
He felt the blast of cold hit his chest and he chuckled, brushing off the snow and then running toward her, chuckling snow ball after snowball until he ran out. She had hidden behind the trees by now, and he called out “Coward!” to her as he continued running. He started peeking around the trees before he would step forward, trying to catch a sign of movement that meant she was there. He looked up, trying to see if she had climbed into a branch like he had. But when he found nothing he ran forward again.
He saw her after a short time, and he moved in silently. He scooped up some snow, and was about to throw it, but decided on something else instead. He dropped the ball back in the ground and continued to stalk toward her. He remembered that she hated sneak attacks, especially lately, so he spoke out loud a moment before he tackled her. “Hey Rae!” he said, almost mockingly, and he wrapped his arms around her and they both fell in the snow, causing a large cloud of the white stuff to poof around them.
She was waiting, she thought she was doing an expert job of hiding, the snowball ready to be chucked at him sitting in the palm of her hand. Rae was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet giddily, excited to see the look on his face when she jumped out and attacked him with it. She tried to hide her giggles as he tried to call out her cowardice, she really thought she had this in the bag.
Rae swore she heard him coming up to her tree, she prepared herself, bent her knees slightly, gripped the snowball in her hand, about to jump out, and then nothing. Not a sound. No snow-crunching footsteps. No voice. Pure silence. She furrowed her eyebrows. What the—?
She spun around quickly at the call of her name. Her eyes grew wide, and her mouth opened to protest, and then. Umph. Fump. Into the snow they fell. It took her a few seconds to register what even happened before they hit the ground. Rae shrieked on the way down, though it soon turned into laughter. She rolled over to look up at him, her hair and eyelashes now dusted with snow. “You are a jerk! An unfair jerk whom I unfortunately love and is far, far too good at this game for a lowly daughter of the nature goddess like myself to ever have a chance of defeating you. I give up. I surrender. You win.” Rae rolled her eyes and groaned dramatically, throwing one arm back into the snow, and clutching her heart with the other, closing her eyes and feigning her death, letting her body slump into the now thick layer of snow surrounding them.
She stayed completely still for at least ten seconds, her mind working quickly to formulate a new plan. Smirking slightly, she suddenly opened her eyes and took a handful of snow, smushing it against the side of his face. She then proceeded to wrap her legs around his and grab his arms, pulling them off of her as he tried to register whatever was happening, which she knew would only take a few seconds, so she worked fast. Heaving all of their weight, Rae rolled them over, strategically sitting on his legs and pinning his arms into the freezing cold snow. Rae grinned at him. “Just kidding. I don’t give up that easy. All of that was just a bad warm-up.” Leaning forward, she kissed him, partially because she wanted to, and partially to tease him. “As I have forgotten your master hiding skills, you seem to have forgotten that my past few months mostly consisted of my life containing itself to the arena, hence, I’m much stronger now…But, you haven’t seen any of that yet, have you? Oooh, this will be a fun surprise then.” Rae wasn’t taking any of this too seriously, no competition whatsoever. It was a game, it was flirting, it was just pure fun. She was enjoying herself too much, if anything. She tilted her head to the side and smiled again, waiting for his next move.
He chuckled as she turned, her head craning up to meet eyes with him. He winked at her and waved, mocking her slightly. His chuckle evolved into a laugh when the snowball merely powdered his leg, which he brushed off in one swift motion. “Hey, all’s fair in love and war.” He jumped down to a branch just below the one he had been standing on. “And we, my dear, are in both.” He let the silence between them linger for only a moment before he lifted his hand and chucked another one at her. He stepped down another branch as she made it to the ground, grabbing as many snowballs as he could from that level before moving even further down.
He simply sidestepped the lobbed snowballs, shaking his head. “Are you really going to make me give up on all these wonderfully prepared projectiles, Rae?” he asked, faking a pout as she had before. Then he shrugged and dumped the snowballs to the ground, letting them land with a puffs of snow. Then he scrambled down the tree and grabbed one as he ran closer to her. He threw it, pausing a few feet from her and scooping up more snow to make a new ball.
Rae turned away quickly, just in time for his snowball to hit her side. She picked up a few more of her own and threw them at him, finally managing to hit the upper half of his body now that they were on the same level. But, she was still hopelessly unmatched. She needed to take him by surprise.
Diving for a few more of her prepared snowballs, Rae shoved them anywhere she could in her jacket. She threw another one, hitting him square in the chest. “Yay!” She cheered for herself, before running off into the woods, dodging more snowballs from him. “If you’re going to attack me, you’ll have to come find me first!” She called after him happily. Maybe this way she’d gain a bit more of an advantage. Sprinting through the trees, she picked an unfamiliar one to hide behind, silently waiting and watching for him to follow, snowball ready and waiting in her hand.
